A year (and two days) after my last sunset visit to the summit of Sgurr an Fhidhleir, and the light was again exceptional. The Fiddler offers the finest viewpoint of the Inverpollaidh / Assynt mountains (Stac Pollaidh on the left and Suilven featuring in these images), and the folded sandstone on The Fiddler's summit provides a captivating foreground.
On this occasion I was accompanied by landscape photographer Stu Thompson.
